Acer Announces Asus Zenfone Max Counterpart

Acer Liquid Zest Plus

One of the best things that Filipino consumers look for when buying their own smartphone is its battery life, and it seems that there are a handful of these devices with long-lasting battery life that would suit to what they want to do on their smartphone. For me, on top of these rare smartphones is the Asus Zenfone Max, which is the best for on-the-go people for a very intriguing price of about Php8,500. However, on a recent event held in New York, Taiwanese-based PC and mobile brand Acer introduced a counterpart to the Zenfone Max named the Liquid Zest Plus.

From the specs that you can see below, I think that Acer's new Android smartphone does not deserve to be a counterpart to the Zenfone Max, but I can say that it is at par with Starmobile's Up Max since it is considered a mid range smartphone based on specs alone. But it seems that US$250 or more than ten thousand pesos can convince any American consumer to purchase one of those. Anyway, here are its specs:

- Android 6.0 Marshmallow
- 1.3 Ghz Mediatek MT6735 quad core processor
- Mali-T720 MP2 graphics
- 5.5-inch HD IPS capacitive multitouch display
- 2 GB of RAM
- 16 GB of internal storage
- Expandable memory via microSD card
- 13 megapixel rear camera with phase detection/laser autofocus and LED flash
- 5 megapixel front camera
- WiFi/Bluetooth/GPS/A-GPS
- 4G LTE/3G HSPA+ connectivity
- 5000 mAh battery

If this smartphone will become available in the Philippines in the coming months, I would strongly recommend you to consider this as your own graduation gift in the near future. As of now, it will only be available in US stores.
