An Unprecedented Boost for Little Rome

Its reputation as either the Little Rome of the Philippines or the next premiere call center hub outside Metro Manila and Cebu may not be enough for Lipa City, a first-class city situated in the province of Batangas, to progress itself as a promising tourist destination in the country. But, an unprecedented move could give a big boost to the city's development.

Two of the most popular and influential forces in social media dedicated and committed to the city of Lipa have recently made a intriguing partnership that would help each other in any way they can since they have the same goals and standards. They are Lipa City Philippines or collectively known as LCP, the largest community group of the city's residents online with about 40,000 members and counting, and Hello Lipa, which is considered as the largest lifestyle blog aiming to promote everything about the city in general.

And you cannot belittle these two forces because of their own reputation in the online world. Hello Lipa helps residents of the city and even local tourists to stay up to date and keep an eye on the latest happenings around the city through its official Facebook fan page and website, while LCP becomes the primary voice of Lipenos where residents and netizens can discuss anything about the city including organizing events that would help the community in general.

The Memorandum of Understanding signed by both LCP and Hello Lipa may be considered a big boost to the city's continuing development and even its status in the local tourism industry. Let's just hope that this partnership would be effective in many ways that it can help not only progress the city in general, but also boost the morale of its residents and business owners as well.
