Her role as a mother trying to make a living for her family at any means necessary at the indie film Ma'Rosa has quickly captured and broken the hearts of those watching the movie at the said film festival in France, and that surprising achievement is sure to become a big boost to the local movie industry. Also making our fellow Filipinos proud in the movie industry are John Lloyd Cruz (the first Southeast Asian recipient of the Star Asia Awardee), Teri Malvar (Screen International Rising Star awardee), and Sid Lucero (best actor at the 19th Los Angeles World Comedy Festival) among others.
Now, let's talk about the movies that were shown in hundreds of movie theaters in the Philippines on the first day of June. Well, it seems that the new TMNT movie has gotten the upper hand since it has dominated well in both local and international box office sales if you read news about it. But, do not think that Out of the Shadows is the only movie that you're going to watch in your nearest movie house in the next few weeks, for there are other movies that are interesting for you to enjoy like The Girl King and My New Sassy Girl.
But if you want to ask me which of the June 1 movies is the worst to watch, that would be the Filipino romantic comedy movie "Ang Tatay Kong Sexy" starring currently detained Sen. Jinggoy Estrada. Now, what makes the movie producers think that movie buffs can change what they think of Jinggoy Estrada as an actor, especially in a funny film like this. I don't think quality is the problem with this movie, because the only think that can upset you while watching it is that everything is not making any sense of it. Anyway, as far as not recommending you to watch this sexy affair, there are many more movies that you should watch out for in the coming weeks like this one here.
