Leading Philippine telecommunications company Smart Communications Inc. has recently launched a new prepaid mobile service that is set to empower and enhance the digital lifestyle experience of more than 240,000 Filipinos living and working in Japan, and its name is SMART World.
In partnership and collaboration with Tokyo-based NTT Telecommunications Corporation, the new service will provide nationwide coverage in Japan through the use of NTT Docomo's extensive 3G and 4G LTE networks and offer monthly mobile data subscriptions of up to 10 GB upon purchase of a mobile data SIM card bundled in a pocket WiFi. Mobile data subscriptions will include free calls and text messages to friends and loved ones in the Philippines, free calls to those living and working in other international destinations, and a worry-free remittance transaction of up to JPY100,000 per month once subscribed to any of the promos offered.
SMART World is part of Smart Communications' continuing commitment to make Filipinos in and out of the country enjoy the smart life wherever and whenever they want, whether it is on their portable computers or on their mobile devices. But, this is just the beginning of what is considered to be a portfolio of services that would cater to the digital lifestyle needs of many Filipinos in different parts of the world.
