Between The Predator and The Republic

Acer Philippines recently launched its own line of gaming devices called the Predator, which is designed and made to compete with Asus's Republic of Gaming series. The new Predator line is comprised of desktops, laptops, tablet computers and computer accessories that are suitable for aspiring professional gamers and those who want to try MMORPG for the first time in the comforts of their own home. With professional gaming in the Philippines on its ongoing progression, I would ask myself why do we need to buy computers powerful enough to suit the needs of aspiring gamers.

Acer Predator 15

Acer's own gaming laptop, the Predator 15, can offer a smooth gaming performance because of its specs including a swappable fan design that can keep its cool during massive and extreme gameplay. Meanwhile, Asus's own stylish and compact gaming laptop ROG Strix GL502 offers breathtaking visuals and high-end performance with specs that are claimed by many gamers to be better than those of the new Predator 15. If you want to know my problem about these laptops, it will be the very main reason why I am not convinced to buy any of these two and that would be the fact that they are two of the most expensive computers ever released in any market in the Philippines today.

But, I feel a sign of relief when I learned about the Predator 8 GT-810, an Android-powered tablet PC powered by an Intel Atom processor coupled with Intel graphics with a Quadio four speaker system for punchy audio. And I believe that this is the true winner among the entire initial lineup of the Predator gaming devices because it is considered a high-end game-centric tablet computer knowing that it is priced at Php12,999. Another thing that can keep gamers from living up to the hype is the monitors generally dedicated for gaming particularly because of their intriguingly stunning display and ecstatic features that keep gamers going.

Well, I can say that there is no clear winner between the Predator and the Republic when it comes to comparing series of gaming devices but the real winners of this matter are those who want to take gaming to the next level. If you want to try any of these two, then go to the popular computer store near you and take a plunge at how professional gamers are born. For me, I will be satisfied with a Php13,000 tablet in the near future to be complemented with a broadband pocket WiFi. Remember, gaming is more fun when you have a suitable companion for your own personal enjoyment.
