Rise of the Tomb Raider Comes to PS4

Following its successful exclusive release for the Xbox One late last year and its eventual PC outing in January 2016, Rise of the Tomb Raider is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 on October 11, 2016 and it will be dubbed as Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20th Anniversary Edition.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is the third-person action-adventure sequel to the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot which was well received by gaming critics and review sites since it was first released on the Xbox. It follows Lara Croft venturing into Siberia in search for the legendary city of Kitezh while battling a paramilitary organization with the utmost intention to gain the said city's promise of immortality before Croft gets into it first.

The 20th Anniversary Edition will have all the downloadable content released for the game including a new DLC mission named Blood Ties which will become compatible to the PlayStation VR headset. It will also have support for cooperative multiplayer in Endurance Mode and an interesting set of costumes commemorating Tomb Raider's 20th year anniversary since its PlayStation days in the late 90s.

In other PS4 news, the eagerly-awaited science fiction game No Man's Sky is scheduled to be released on August 9, 2016. According to Sony Interactive Entertainment's Singapore branch, the game will be available worldwide in two different variations, the Blu-ray Disc Standard Edition (Php2,399) and the Blu-ray Disc Limited Edition (Php3,699). Both editions will have their own set of bonuses upon release, where the Limited Edition will be bundled with a comic book, a 48-page art book and a starter kit among others.

Developed by independent gaming studio Helio Games, this action-adventure survival game is touted as an epic science fiction adventure set in an infinite universe where players are encouraged to discover planets, fight and survive in a galactic scale.
