Smart Communications has recently rolled out its LTE-Advanced network as part of its continuing commitment to improve the quality and service of Internet for the benefit of millions of consumers in the Philippines, and it happened last week in Boracay.
The first LTE Advanced service in the country, which is dubbed by many tech enthusiasts and critics around the world as 4.5G, can provide faster internet speeds up to 250 Mbps through a technique called carrier aggregation, where the service can combine two or more radio frequencies that would increase the available bandwidth in a very dramatic way.
There are only a handful of devices available in our local shores that are compatible to LTE-A including the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, Samsung Galaxy Note 5, LG G4, iPhone 6s and 6s Plus and iPad Pro. And since Smart continues to make Filipinos live a better smart life, the telco assures that many will be benefited from the said deployment since LTE-A is set to boost internet services in the country and allow mobile and broadband subscribers to enjoy Smart's range of mobile solutions cater to their digital lifestyle needs.
For now, Smart LTE-A is only available in Boracay, but it is expected to roll out in Metro Manila and key areas in the country in the coming months. So, prepare!!
