On Flash Plus 2 and Flash Mobile's Freedom
Flash Mobile is all set to release its newest flagship smartphone, the Flash Plus 2, to Philippine stores starting on the last day of May which will be exclusively available on the online shopping site Lazada before its physical release. But what intrigues me along with local and international tech critics is the fact that Flash Mobile is now a newly-created independent brand after it made its official split from Alcatel but remains under its parent company TCL.
I have wondered why Flash Mobile has decided to make out on its own. But after reading an article from Unbox.ph, I realized that the only reason behind it is that it wanted to provide its own solutions that would cater to young professionals, and I think it is the same reason for other new mobile phone brands like MyPhone and Cherry Mobile to release affordable but quality and power-packed smartphones that would suit what Filipino consumers want for their smartphones. And with that, I rest my case.
Anyway, the Flash Plus 2 will be available in two variants, each with a very affordable price once they become physically available in our local shores. Keep in mind though that the Flash Plus 2 despite being in two variants runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is powered by Helio P10 octa core processor coupled with Mali-T860 MP2 graphics. It also sports a 5.5-inch HD IPS capacitive multitouch display, 13 megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus, 5 megapixel camera, dual SIM support, 4G LTE connectivity, and 3000 mAh battery.
The Flash Plus 2 with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage is available for only Php6,990.00, while the one with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB internal storage will be priced at Php8,490.00. Not intriguingly bad for a flagship smartphone like this, isn't it?
