More Filipinos here and around the world prefer ABS-CBN as the most trusted and most credible television station in the Philippines on election day where almost every major and minor television station in the country have their own special coverage on the 2016 national election, and it seems that most viewers chose to tune in to the network's flagship news program TV Patrol for the latest news and updates on the outcome of the said event.
Based on data from Kantar Media, TV Patrol was the most-watched television program last May 9, 2016 with a national TV rating of 31.1% which is about eight points higher than its rival news program. Aside from TV Patrol, there are no doubts that many viewers were glued in to ABS-CBN's extensive and comprehensive coverage of the elections according to its trusted ratings provider Kantar Media until it wrapped up, beating regular programming and special coverage of its rival network GMA 7.
